At The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, six young people overseen by grown-ups who barely managed to escape childhood themselves, struggle to find their place in the world in this hilarious musical comedy.

Despite lofty parental expectations, six-syllable words, and the pangs of puberty, these six kids with a worship of words discover how to spell S-U-C-C-E-S-S as they learn that winning isn't everything and that losing doesn't necessarily make you a loser. Some of the lucky audience members will be chosen to compete on-stage, spelling “taradiddle,” “slobberknocker,” or even “poppysmic.” themselves.

Make reservations early for good selection of dates and tables.” Performance dates are December 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16, 21, & 22. Tickets are $28 per person and include dinner, drink, dessert and the show.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is sponsored by Smith Funeral Home. Performances: For Friday and Saturday performances, dinner starts at 6:30 P.M. with the show beginning at 7:30 p.m. For Sunday performances, dinner starts at 1:00 P.M. and the show begins at 2:00 P.M.

The Arts Center is located on 1424 John Bragg Highway, just west of the town of Woodbury, approximately 20 minutes from Murfreesboro, Manchester, and McMinnville and one hour southeast of Nashville.
