The United Methodist Women of First United Methodist Church of Woodbury are a part of a community of women who are connected to each other through their belief in a loving and gracious God, a spirit of Love and understanding, and a dedication to making a difference in the lives of others.

On March 24th, the Woodbury Unit hosted the Murfreesboro District Day Apart Retreat/Luncheon with 120 in attendance.  The theme for this year is "Walk with Wholeness."

A special offering collected and donated to SAVE, which is a program for abused women and children of Cannon County.  The monies collected and donated totaled 659.00.

SAVE Director, Lisa Baird attended the Day Apart Retreat/Luncheon.

"The outpouring of love and concern from the group for our agency and the victims we serve was overwhelming," Baird said. "We greatly appreciated what these ladies have and are doing to demonstrate Gods love for others.  SAVE is very thankful to all the ladies who attended from the district and for their support and donation.  SAVE would also like to express our appreciation for our local First United Methodist Church and their year round support for this agency through their health kits and monetary donations.  We are truly blessed to have them working with us in stopping the violence in our county."
