In less than 24 hours the citizens of Cannon County will come together to help stop domestic violence in our community. S.A.V.E., the domestic violence program of Cannon County will be holding their first annual S.A.V.E. FEST.

Lisa Baird, S.A.V.E. program director, has organized an event that will entertain all ticket holders. Local musicians and Nashville musicians will keep the crowd upbeat throughout the day as they perform a wide range of selections from the country, classic rock and R&B genres. A variety of vendors will be on hand to satisfy any craft or food cravings.

Area businesses have donated items for auction. Of course, a few surprise items will be mixed in the lot. Are you a Reba fan? Carnival games will keep the children and the child at heart folks amused. How can you pass up watching grandma playing in the moon jump with her face painted like a cat?

Pack up your blankets, lawn chairs, dancing shoes and your family. Help us celebrate being a step closer in stopping domestic violence in our community.

S.A.V.E. FEST 09 will begin at 12:00 noon Saturday at Dillon Park. Tickets are $10.00 for adults, children 12 and under are free. You can purchase tickets in advance by calling 615.563.6690 or when you arrive.
