Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, TWRA, will conduct the annual Children's Fishing Rodeo on Saturday, June 10 at Dillon Park. Fishing times are 8 a.m. to noon.
TWRA will stock Stone's River with several hundred good sized catfish for the children to catch.
There will be no public fishing in the area of fish release for the children until after Saturday noon. This is so the fish can acclimate to Stone's River.
Woodbury City Police will be patrolling this area from the date of release to the fishing rodeo start time. No fishing signs will be located along Water Street and along Dillon Park side in the special fishing area for the children.
The Hilton Stone American Legion Post 279 will be assisting the TWRA Game Warden, Mark Vance, by providing a check-in station for the children. All children must be accompanied by an adult. TWRA will furnish each child a special gift bag, full of super good items.
Each child must bring their own fishing equipment and bait.
The American Legion Post 279 will provide hot dogs, buns, drinks, chips and condiments.
