The youth of Prosperity Baptist Church attended and ministered Friday at the Youth Crusade for Christ hosted by Calvary Baptist in Smithville.

Sunday was birthday day for our house. Celebrating with her special dessert (strawberry ice cream) was Adrianna Reed. Besides the "usual" family members present , extras were Lauryn Crawley and Jimmy Mingle.

Again several deaths affected this community this week. Connie Leyhew's uncle, Carlton Shirley passed away the 28th.

Esther Bobo lost her grandfather, Douglas Huddleston, Tuesday and we learned of the death of Ruby Pearl Tenpenny Thursday. Our condolences to each family member and loved one.

He was a native of Cannon County and well known throughout many counties as an auctioneer for Bob Parks and a director of DTC Communications. One who loved to have fun. Dwight Vinson lost his life in the storm that blew through here Wednesday night. Our sympathy to his family and many friends.

A big THANKS to all who came out and supported the Auburn Jr. Beta Horse Show held the 29th. They are looking forward to the National Convention which is being held this year in New Orleans, LA.

Kiley Hughes along with three others from Cannon County students were chosen for Academic Conference at the University of Tennessee. Three weeks in a row (UT Academic Conference, Jr. Camp, and UT Electric camp). Kiley's loves 4-H. She with the other three will be able to spend the week at UT learning and broadening their horizons in their fields chosen. Congratulations!!

Lisa Tenpenny and Brandon Turney begin our birthday list this week when they celebrate the 11th. Hannah Whited and Ralph Coe celebrate the same day that our granddaughter, Adrianna, turns 14 on the 12th. Roger Tate, Reagan Scott and Veronica Davenport celebrate the 13th . Dillon Jackson, Bobby Dutton, Pam Nipper and Luke Stinnett get to celebrate on the 14th. It's their special day on the 15th - LaTonya Cantrell and Cody Kennedy. Shirley Allen and Betty Sue Hayes begin a new year on the 16th. And Lori Jackson Smith end our birthday wishes when she celebrates the 17th. Happy birthday you all.

Happy anniversary to Mike and Shirley Allen on the 13th, to Ronnie and Judy Todd on the 14th and to B.J. and Esther Bobo on the 17th.
