Election night get-to-gether on the Square
To all Candidates and supporters the Election Commission has made arrangements for WBRY to be setup on the square to announce the results of the Elections. Also, The Dog House will be there serving their famous hotdogs and lemonade.
Come out to the square and eat and wait for the results.

9U Kid Pitch Tryouts
A travel team based out of Warren County is being formed for 9U kid pitch baseball. Tryouts will be held on August 24th at the Sam Martin Field at the Civic Center complex in McMinnville from 2-4pm for players who will be eligible for the 9 and under age group. To be eligible the player may not turn 10 before May 1st of 2015. Please call 931-575-8770 if you are interested in trying out or want more information.

Veterans and Concerned Citizens to meet
The Veterans and Concerned Citizens for the Veterans of Cannon County will meet on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at 6:00 PM, at the Senior Citizens Center in Woodbury. We will be discussing plans for the 2014 Veterans Day Program at Cannon County High School on Friday, November 7th and the Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, November 8th.

Executive Board Meeting
The Hilton Stone American Legion Post 279 Executive Board will meet on Thursday, August 7, 2014, at 6:30 PM, at the Senior Citizens Center in Woodbury.


Annual Kittrell reunion September 20
The annual Kittrell Reunion will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sat., Sept. 20, at the Kittrell Elementary School, on Old Highway 70s going east from Murfreesboro.
Lunch will be served at 12 noon by 1960 Kittrell graduate Jerry Robinson's Slick Pig at a cost of $5.00 for those 12 and over and $3.00 for those between 3 years old and 11 years old. Drinks will be furnished by the organization. There is no charge for those under the age of 3 years. Anyone interested in Kittrell is welcome to attend.
Following lunch, each Kittrell Graduating Class will be recognized, beginning with the Class of 1931. There will be an award for the oldest graduate present and the one traveling the longest distance to the reunion.
Kittrell graduates are asked for a minimum donation of $15.00 to the reunion organization each year. Others may join for $10.00/year. A school service project will be discussed at the reunion this year. Connie Vance Turner is Treasurer.
