Teddy Lafayette Powers

Teddy Lafayette Powers, 70, died Friday, August 01, 2014, at Vanderbilt Hospital.  He was a native of Henderson Co., Tn.

He is survived by his children,  Ruth Ann (Jeffery) Weir of Henderson, J.T. (Gina) Powers of Lexington, Steve (Misty) Powers of Auburntown; 8 Grandchildren: Shonna Wilson, Jolinda Bivens, Courtney Powers, Kerina Maness, Cindy Millinder, Caleb Maness, Michael Prince, Ethan Powers; Siblings, Wilma Blair of Smithville, Rachel Duck of Dyer, Robert “Bobby” Powers, John Powers, Mark Powers and David Powers all of Arkansas. Also surviving are 13 great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tary Andrew & Lou Willie Wyatt Powers; his wife, Mary Elizabeth “Tiny” Powers; siblings, Elisabeth Mitchell, Imogene Dodd and Steve Powers and his granddaughter, Hannah Elizabeth Powers.

He was a member of the Shiloh Baptist and Forklift Driver at Sherman & Dixie. 

Funeral Services will be 4 pm Sunday, August 3, 2014 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Nichols and Bro. John Powers officiating. Pallbearers:  Ethan Powers, Caleb Maness, Michael Prince, Greg Hayes, Bobby Bobo, Richie Wilson and Timmy Baines. Interment will follow in the Odom Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until 8:30 PM Saturday, August 2, 2014.
