Michael Wayne Davis, 52, died Friday, November 27, 2009 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center following a sudden illness.

He was a native of Cannon County and lived in Murfreesboro.

A retired brick layer, he was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Paula Lee Woodall Davis of Murfreesboro; children, Brian (Christie) Davis, Steven (Ashley) Davis, Nathan (Paula) Davis, Jessica (Gary) Davis, all of Woodbury, Michelle (Wayne) Schroder of Murfreesboro, Natasha (Michael) Dill of Spruce Pine, AL and Sara Davis of Belgreen, AL.

Also surviving are stepchildren; Brian Keith Woodall, Donald Wesley Haddock, Richard Allen Haddock, Beth Alritton and Andrew Abram,; and 17 grandchildren.

Surviving siblings include Pam (Jimmy) Mathis, Eula Mai Davis, Tonya Davis, Anthody Davis, Vanassa Hoover, Johnny Campbell, Melanie Elrod, all of Murfreesboro, Helen (Ricky) Campbell of Phil Campbell, Alabama.

Survivors also include his mother and stepfather, Peggy Myers Campbell and Chalmus Campbell of McMinnville, and stepmom, Helen Davis of Murfreesboro.

He was preceded in death by his adopted Joe B. and Cora Davis; Dad, Lonnie B. Davis and son, Michael Wayne Davis, Jr.

Funeral services will be in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home, 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2009. Interment will be in the Center Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday, from noon to 9 p.m. and Monday until 9 p.m..

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Woodbury Funeral Home to help with burial expenses.

Woodbury Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
