I never met Coach Mayfield. My Era was with Coach Owens and Coach Harris. Woodbury and Cannon County Students have been Blessed over the years, to have these Men not only as Coaches, but as role models. Prayers for the Mayfield Family.

Coach Mayfield was a unique character and a unique teacher. I have very fond memories of him teaching my Health Class in 1988!

I can honestly say that he was a man who said what he thought and never let what others said about him bother him or change the way he lived his life.

I think someone needs to bring a kitchen chair to the first home Lions basketball game and place it by the door in his memory! I always thought that was too funny!

R.I.P. Coach and my prayers to your family!
