Historical Society To Learn About 'Bradyville And Beyond'

The Cannon County Historical Society will meet Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at 6:30 p.m., at the Adams Memorial Library, in the basement meeting room.

Charlie Harrell and Ms. Bessie Miller will be the program presenters. Both a valued members of the Cannon County Historical Society.

Their subject will be "Bradyville and Beyond." They will deal with the history of the Bradyville Area -- the past and the present.

Information will be shared about the Thomas, Knox and other Bradyville families.

Ms. Bessie has been working on a book about the area. "Hopefully she will share some of the stories she is gathering. That would be a treat," Joe Davenport, Historical Society president, said.

The society will meet at 6:30 p.m. for finger foods and snacks. The program will begin at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Bessie was my first grade teacher at the
Bradyville School, many long years ago, 1938.
I plan to attend the meeting I would love to
see her. I do want to get a copy of her
book.
