James W. “Jim” Henline, 75, died Tuesday., March 15,2011 at St. Thomas Hospital following a sudden illness.

A resident of Woodbury, Mr. Henline was a native of Strange Creek, W. VA.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Barbara Jordan Henline of Woodbury; four daughters:, Debra Henline (Elroy) Sullivan, Diana Henline Hyer and Sharon Henline (Russell) Thomas, all of Bradyville, and Shelia Henline (Michael) Zepeda of Katy, Tx; 10 grandchildren:  Jacob (Rebecca) Godley, Scott Bissmeyer, Virginia, Eric and Matt Sullivan, Shawna, Billy and Sarah Hyer, Danielle Morris, Tyler, Victoria and Zachary Zepeda; and two great grandchildren,  Joni Godley & Kolsyn Healy

Mr. Henline was a member of the Woodbury First United Methodist Church, a member of the Woodbury Masonic Lodge and the Al Menah Shiners of Nashville. He was also a veteran of the Korean War where he served in the Air Force.  He was retired from Ford Motor Company as a mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernadine Wilson Henline; step-father, Ralph Henline; his father, James Johnson; his brother, Charles Henline and his grandmother, Myrtle Wilson.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 18, 2011 with Bro. John Hembree officiating.

Burial will be in Thyatira Cemetery     

Visitation will be Thursday, March 17, 2011 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with Masonic Service beginning at 7 p.m.

For those wishing to do so, donations may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital, the Multiple Myeloma Assoc. or the American Cancer Society.

Jim was a great man, he and wife Barbara are the salt of the earth. Jim was also a member of the Hilton Stone Post 279 of the American Legion here in Woodbury. He will be missed.
My prayers go out to you Barbara and your family.
