The Woodbury Nursing Center Activity Dept is looking for activities on Saturday after some of our churches have stopped coming.

They usually have a singing service and a reading of the the Bible. Forty-five minutes is all it takes and the residents love it.

If you would like to voulteer your services please give us a call at 563-5939 or 563-5930 Mon - Fri 8:00 to 3:00 we will be glad to set you up a time and date.

Remember Love is Ageless and our residents have a lot of LOVE to give.

From what I have seen there I think it would be easier to do perhaps a music program with music from their era, big band, swing, even bluegrass music. Something they can relate to and that may bring pleasant memories. I live in Nashville and visit my father at the center once a week and would love to do it myself but with a handicapped child to take care of, I cannot promise that I would be able to do it every Saturday but I would donate some c.d.'s that can be played if someone could have a music hour for the residents. They would love that and it brightens their day so much to have something to do and someone to talk to. God Bless all the caregivers their, we appreciate them!

They are a wonderful center. I have had several family members there and they are always doing something for them . When you walk in the front door it feels more like home instead of a nursing center. They love all types of music and entertainment. Love, Love their church's who came regluarly. If you have not stopped in for a visit you need to it is very rewarding.
