It's only a matter of coincidence, but it could also be perfect timing for the Cannon County Board of Education.

On the agenda for Thursday's meeting of the Board at Woodland School is a list of possible make-up dates for school days missed because of snow.

If it snows Wednesday and early Thursday, as weather forecasters are predicting, Thursday could be the 10th day of the calendar year schools are closed because of adverse conditions created by weather.

There are 11 snow days built into the calendar, and there is still over a month of winter to go.
