Following are the latest arrest and incident reports as recorded by the Cannon County Sheriff's Department and the Woodbury Police Departmemt. Readers are advised that an allegation or report of a crime does not necessarily constitute a crime, or that one took place. All persons accused of crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

CCSO Incident Reports for 03.03.2010

02.23.2010 — Deputy Randy Neal spoke with James Barrett of 1063 Judge Purser Rd. about his horses being on the neighbors property due to a report of possible neglect. Mr. Barrett explained that a fallen tree had broken their fence during the last snow and they had just been able to repair it. On investigation, the horses appeared fine and had hay, feed, and water and were being taken adequate care of.

02.23.2010 — Mark Thomas served a warrant on Lisa Moody for violation of probation without incident.

02.24.2010 — Lt. Brad Hall took a report at the 2200 block of Parker Rd. from Steven Blanton regarding vandalism and trespassing. He and his employees had spent the previous night loading a 100' feed bag but on arrival the morning of 02.24 found about 90' of the bag had been cut open.

02.24.2010 — Deputies Brandon Mimms, Matt Parsley, and Brandon Gullet arrested Raymond Haines and Charles Grizzle for violation of probation at 496 Todd Rd. The two men were taken to the CCSO for processing.

02.24.2010 — Deputy Anthony Young took a report from Christopher Reed at the Cannon County Jail. Mr. Reed had wrecked his brother's truck on 02.19 in front of his house at 2832 Petty Gap. The 1999 Red Chevy S-10 rolled over and sustained over $400 worth of damage.

02.25.2010 — Marijo Martinez served a warrant on Becky Bess for violation of probation in the CCSO booking room without incident.

02.25.2010 — Marijo Martinez served a warrant on James Cody Harris for violation of probation and failure to appear in the CCSO booking room without incident.

02.25.2010 — Marijo Martinez served a warrant on Angela Rose hodge for violation of probation in the CCSO booking room without incident.

02.25.2010 — Deputy Brandon Mimms responded to an attempted break-in/burglary at 196 Crossroads Road. There Shannon Neal reported that she'd found her front door ajar and the security light out when she arrived home. She did not think the would-be-intruder made it inside the house. She said the dog in the house is particularly vicious and he showed no signs of having attacked anyone. Deputy Mimms noticed a few more points of attempted entry. The case is inactive until Ms. Neal is able to take full inventory of her possessions.

02.26.2010 — Deputy Brandon Gullett responded to a suspicious vehicle at 1894 Petty Gap Road. There Walter Larry Bess reported seeing a small silver Honda Civic stop at his driveway several times. Mr. Bess explained that on 02.23 several subjects had come to his residence and pulled a gun on him and made a number of threats on Mr. Bess's family. Deupty Gullett and Deputy Matt Parsley attempted to make contact with the vehicle but were unable.

02.26.2010 — Deputy Randy Neal, Lt. Brad Hall, and PIO Andy Bryson arrested Johhny Lyons at 3311 Iconium Road. Mr. Lyons had active warrants in Rutherford and Putnam Counties for violation of probation and failure to appear. Mr. Lyons was transported to the CCSO and Rutherford authorities were notified he was in custody.

02.26.2010 — Deputy Randy Neal, Lt. Brad Hall, and PIO Andy Bryson arrested Princess Odom at 3311 Iconium Road. Ms. Odom had an active warrant in Cannon County for violation of probation. She also had a warrant in Rutherford County and they were notified that she was in custody.

02.26.2010 — Lt. Brad Hall and PIO Andy Bryson arrested Billy Lee Mayo at TNT Apartments for an active child support attachment in Rutherford County.

02.26.2010 — Lt. Brad Hall and PIO Andy Bryson arrested Dustin Alsup at 208 E. Jefferson Pike for violation of probation.

02.26.2010 — Lt. Brad Hall and Deputy Anthony Young arrested Trinidad Guillen Alvarez at 1306 Bradyville Pike for failure to appear in general sessions court.

02.26.2010 — Deputy Tommy Barker responded to a structure fire at 61 Red Hill Road. There he directed traffic until the scene was clear. Property owner Jacqui Goerg reported that she had come home around 1830hrs and noticed a fire around the wood stove.

02.27.2010 — Deputy Reed Bryson was dispatched to 5127 Hollow Springs Road for possible vandalism. There Brenda Phillips reported that she had come by Parker Hill Church of Christ and found the sign out front was down and the back screen door was off.

02.27.2010 — Deputy Reed Bryson took a report at 5194 Jim Cummins Hwy. where the church's media room computer was found missing. Justin Kanagy reported that the room and the window were both locked when he left the previous night.

02.28.2010 — Deputy Reed Bryson took a report at the CCSO from Michael Hupp, who wished to press charges on his son-in-law Joseph Edwards for taking about 30 CDs from his truck. Joseph had gotten into his truck about 0300 hrs and Mr. Hupp discovered the missing CDs at about 0700 hrs. A warrant was issued for theft under $500.

02.28.2010 — Deputy Eric Moss spoke with Pennie Johnson about Blake Foster trespassing on her property. Mr. Foster had been told not to return to the property. Ms. Johnson spoke with Commissioner Barrett and a warrant was issued for criminal trespass. Deputies Eric Moss and Patrick Fann then went to 176 Outback Lane to serve an arrest warrant on Robert Blake Foster. Mr Foster was transported to CCSO.

02.28.2010 — Deputy Patrick Fann was dispatched to 37 Whyte Tenpenny Road in reference to a break-in that had already occurred. There he found that nearly every window had been broken out and the inside of the house had been very badly vandalized including several large fish tanks being busted. Nothing looked to have been stolen. Ms. Phyllis Davidson named a few possible suspects and Deputy Fann lifted some prints.

02.28.2010 — Deputy Steve Mcmillen responded to a fight in progress at 26 Jared Trail. There Susan Byer stated that her boyfriend John Furbush had been assaulted by Jerrel Freeman. Freeman had hit Furbush in the head with an empty coffee pot and then gone outside. Furbush locked the door and waited for the police. Deputy McMillen observed blood coming from Furbush's ear as he explained that Freeman had been staying with them for a few days and they were friends. Mr. Freeman was arrested and taken to the CCSO.

WPD Incident Reports for 03.03.2010

02.15.2010 — Sgt. Kevin Mooneyham investigated a vandalism at 108 Dillon Street where unknown persons had been staying without permission as evidenced by a bedroll in the living room. Various damage had been caused to the home including cigarette burns, damage to the door, and gunfire into the walls and sink. The investigation is ongoing.

02.19.2010 — Michael Lynn Earls was charegd with D.U.I. 5th offense, implied consent, and driving on a license revoked for D.U.I.

02.20.2010 — James E. Rollins was charged with driving on a suspended license.

02.20.2010 — Walter L. Bess was charged with driving on a revoked license 6th offense, driving an unregistered vehicle, lacking proof of insurance, and shoplifting from O'Reiley's Auto Parts.

02.22.2010 — Todd Herlong was charged with public intoxication.

02.23.2010 — Todd M. Herlong was charged with theft of property after taking a vehicle registration plate from Miles Herlong without permission.

02.25.2010 — Steve Ruth of Auto Zone reported that someone in a red Ford Pickup pulling a goosenecked trailer ran over a light pole in the parking lot. A BOLO was put out but the vehicle was not found.

02.26.2010 — Shannon Dewayne Cobble was charged with promotion of methamphetamine manufacture after purchasing Coleman fuel, rubber tubing, lithium batteries, and pseudoephedrine tablets at the Murfreesboro Wal-Mart. He was also in unlawful possession of a Raven MP-25 cal. handgun as Cobble is a convicted felon. In addition, Cobble was charged with drug paraphernalia (3 glass meth pipes), schedule III possession (lortab), and driving on a revoked license.

03.01.2010 — Cody D. Whitman was issued a citation for failing to obtain a Tennessee license after 30 days of residency.
