The Cannon County trap team freshman squad traveled to The Cardinal Center in Marengo, Ohio on July 20th and 21st to compete in the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) National trap shoot. Twenty-six states were represented with over 2,300 shooters that attended. With dedication and hard work they shot their way to third place in the nation in the Junior Varsity division. In achieving this milestone, they tied with another team, The Central Orange Falcons from Wisconsin with a score of 943 out of 1,000 targets. A shoot-off broke the tie which they won 120 to 114. We are very proud of these kids. They have excelled in each competition they have attended. They are first in the region and state and now third in the nation! Thanks to Marty Youngblood for the help and support you have given this squad. This was the last school shoot for this trap season.
