Man charged with 12th driving on revoked

12th Driving on Revoked
Larry Scott Murray was charged with his 12th driving on a revoked license/suspended license following a traffic stop on Burt Bergen Road.
Murray was clocked at 70 mph in a 45 mph zone. He admitted to be driving without a license and without insurance. An open container of Captain Morgan rum was discovered under the driver's seat.
He was charged with driving on a revoked (12th offense) and charged with open container, speeding and no insurance.

Crystal Holden was charged with livestock at large following repeated calls about a white pony that kept escaping from its fence.

Orellana Williams was charged with speeding, driving on a suspended license and was issued a citation for no insurance following a traffic stop on the new four-lane route 70S.

Jesse Lance Scott was charged with domestic assault following a disturbance at a home on Jimtown Road.

Harold Prater was charged with DUI, second offense, after a traffic stop on West Main Street.

Casey Lamar Barrett was charged with DUI following a single vehicle accident on Peeler Hill Road.
Officer Randy Wildes discovered Barrett sitting in his jacked-up Chevrolet four-wheel-drive in a ditch.
"I walked around to the passenger side of the vehicle and could see the front passenger tire and rim to be sideways and the tire was flat. It appeared that he had hit something or the axle had broken," reported Wildes.

Firearms stolen
Cannon County Sheriff's Department officers are investigating the theft of nine firearms which were were reported stolen during a break-in on Bradyville Pike.
The couple who owned the house were at work when the burglary occurred.
Investigator Brandon Gullett was able to lift finger prints off the front door "where its believed entry was made by possible carding the door latch since the deadbolt was not locked," reported Deputy Joshua Thomas.
Most of the firearms were taken from a gun cabinet in the couple's bedroom.
Among the missing guns are a Remington 700 with Redfield scope, a Marlin model 99 .22 caliber, a Browning High Power semi automatic pistol, a Winchester 25/20 and an Ashurst .220 Swift rifle. They were valued at over $1,500.

Drug charges
Nicholas Alan Adams was discovered by Sheriff's Deputies asleep in a vehicle parked at Gassaway Market.
It was 1:30 a.m. and the vehicle's lights were on and the engine was running.
"I proceeded to bang on the driver's window to wake him up. He then opened the door to speak with me," reported Deputy Randy Wildes.
"When he opened the door I could smell the strong odor of marijuana emitting from the driver's compartment of the vehicle. I asked him to step out of the vehicle. He was very groggy and disoriented from being asleep," Wildes said.
The deputy asked Adams about the marijuana and his response was evasive "mostly from not being completely awake."
Asking Adams to step from the vehicle, Deputy Doc Smith spotted a clear plastic bag sticking out of one of his front pockets. The baggy, Wildes said, appeared to contain marijuana. "It was a green, leafy substance consistent with marijuana in looks and smell."
A pack of rolling papers was also found in Adams' pocket.
He was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mitchell Blackstone was charged with DUI following a traffic stop by Patrolman Sebastian Krauss. A hearing is set for May 12 in General Sessions Court.

Richard Sanders was charged with public intoxication by Chief Kevin Mooneyham. A hearing is set for Jan. 13 in General Sessions Court.

Brittany Faye Tenpenny was charged with driving on a revoked license (fourth offense) and with failure to meet financial responsibilties by Assistant Chief Lowell Womack. A hearing is set for Jan. 13 in General Sessions Court.
