Please keep the Nokes family in prayer as they are going through this very difficult time.

Thanksgiving was a pretty cold day indeed. Hope all of you celebrated the day with family and friends and got filled up with all the traditional turkey and dressing and the trimmings that go along with that bountiful meal. I think it will be a while before I can eat any more turkey as I pigged out so much over all that food. I'm sure by Christmas I'll be over my misery from overeating and dig right into the turkey and all of the other vittles again.

Here it is Tuesday morning and the rain is coming down pretty hard. Just too much rain we are having for me to get the outside decorated for Christmas. The most beautiful season of the year for me is Christmas, because we are celebrating Christ's birthday. How can we ever thank HIM enough for the gift of eternal life that he has given us? Simply we can't - but we should acknowledge that Jesus is the most important one in our life that we are living for to everyone that comes into our life. No problem for me to talk about HIM each and every day that I am given here. This world so very lost for those that do not know HIM. What an honor and a privilege we have to let others know how great and awesome HE I sand the importance of Jesus being in our lives. Whatever trial or hardship we may be going through, HE will be there to take care of us. Sunday Pastor Jeff talking in his sermon about the many opportunities we are given to tell others about Jesus that we are around. From the grocery store, to the doctor's office, our neighbors, just anyone that God opens a door for you to talk to - realize that you are only a vessel to be used for the glory of the Lord and his Kingdom and may the light of Jesus shine through you so others may see HIM and want HIM in their lives too. This life is not about us - it is all about Jesus. He means everything to me and as I have said the most important day of my life was when I accepted Jesus Christ as my personal Savior.

Speaking of Christmas, several years ago Aubrey and I were at Walmart shopping and I came across this moose in a little rocker. I took it to show Aubrey so he could hear the song it played, when you pressed the hoof. The rocker rocked back and forth while the singing was going on. "Grandma Got Run over By a Reindeer Walking Home From Our House Christmas Eve" was the song it played. Ladies never take things like that to your husband as in my case Aubrey fell in love with it and so did the grandkids. Got the rocker with the moose in it last night from the large container I keep Christmas decorations, lights, and etc. in. It will be out this year for us to enjoy again as I hadn't been able to take it out since Aubrey's passing as I can remember that night when he decided with such laughter that he just had to have it! Only with God and the time he gives for you to heal are you able to get back to some kind of living again.

Plans for the birthday party for Clyde and I coming along nicely. Will be a fun night for sure, if no little green men show up. If they do, Bobby will have to earn his paycheck by getting rid of them promptly. In the back of my mind if the little aliens did show up and if they can sing, they could join in singing happy birthday to Clyde and I and have some of the birthday cake with us. This would be one more night to remember if that happened wouldn't it? Of course, I will let you know what really happens one way or the other.

Please pray for the following people: Lou Davis Higgins, Edith Miller, Denise Stanton, Jeff Brown, and Carlon and Mai Nell Melton.
