New Woodbury Business Is The Cat's Meow For Owner
TONY STINNETT, Courier Co-Editor
During tough economic times when some small businesses are being forced to close shop nationally, Lance recently opened a new business. As a result, she also goes to work each day doing something she truly loves.
Lance is veterinarian and owner of Woodbury Veterinary Hospital, which officially opened for business Aug. 16. The Woodbury Veterinary Hospital is located at 102 North Dillon Street in Woodbury.
Lance said she believed there was a need for an animal clinic in Woodbury based on business she received at her previous employer, the Coffee County Veterinary Hospital.
“It was the right time and the right place,” Lance said. “Everything just kind of fell together. I’ve been practicing in Manchester the last six years and I had a lot of people from Woodbury coming to see me there. This has worked out where I can now come to them.”
A 2004 graduate of Auburn University, Lance will work predominately with small animals; however, she can work with calves and larger animals but can not perform major surgeries on them.
The Woodbury Veterinary Hospital also carries various supplies, including shampoo, flea and tick control, foods and treats.
“If we don’t have what you are looking for in stock we can get it here pretty quick,” Lance said. “We can care for all small animals, dogs, cats, etc., and their needs. We are looking forward to serving the Woodbury, Cannon County and surrounding areas.”
Appointments are preferred and can be made by calling 563-8387. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Wednesday and Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Saturday.
The clinic is closed for lunch from 12:30-to-1:30 p.m. All small animal emergencies after hours are handled by the Animal Medical Center in Murfreesboro.
