New districts for CCHS sports

Things are changing for all the CCHS athlete teams in terms of who they will compete for a district title starting next school year, 2017-18, and it will last until 2021, according to the TSSAA.
Last week, the organization released the new district and region realignments, which affects all sports on the high school level. It means for the Lions and Lionettes, some traditional match ups stay, while new rivalries are created. Also, it is not cut and dry for every sport as the district opponents vary by sport.
Here is what the districts will look like for CCHS beginning next school year (2017-18).

Football (Six Classes)- Class AAA, Region Four
York Institute (Jamestown), Grundy County (Coalmont), Sequatchie County (Dunlop), Smith County (Carthage), Upperman (Baxter)

Baseball, Softball, Boys and Girls Basketball (Three Classes)-Class AA, Region Four, District Eight)
York, DeKalb County (Smithville), Livingston Academy (Livingston), Macon County (Lafayette), Smith, Upperman, Watertown (Watertown)

Volleyball (Three Classes)- Class AA Region Five, District Nine
Giles County (Pulaski), Lawrence County (Lawrenceburg), Central Magnet School (Murfreesboro), Nolensville (Nolensville), Spring Hill (Columbia), Tullahoma (Tullahoma).

Soccer, Girls Soccer (Three Classes)-Class A District Seven, Region Four
York, Jackson County (Gainesboro), Smith, Watertown.

Boys and Girls Cross Country, Boys and Girls Golf, Boys and Girls Tennis (Two Classes)- Small Division, Region Four
York, Clarksrange (Clarksrange), Clay County (Celina), Gordonsville (Gordonsville), Jackson County, Monterey (Monterey), Pickett County (Byrdstown), Red Boiling Springs (Red Boiling Springs), Smith County, Stratford (Nashville), Trousdale County (Hartsville), Upperman, Van Buren (Spencer), Watertown, Westmoreland (Westmoreland).
