Never Argue With Your Teen Again

Parents in Cannon County will once again have the opportunity to learn some valuable parenting skills when The Parent Project begins Monday, Feb. 8.

The Cannon County Board of Education sponsors this free class for parents of teens who have challenging behavior.

This will be the third time Dr. Barbara Corry will facilitate this eight-week class which meets from 5:30-7:30 Monday events at the district central office.

This class is specially designed by parents for parents and will teach skills for handling even the most difficult teen behaviors.

Parents who have attended classes have made statements such as, "I feel fortunate that I was able to attend the class. I am a single parent and struggle to raise two teenagers alone. I learned parenting strategies that helped me become more confident, and my home is now more peaceful."

There is a workbook for this class which parents will purchase for $15, and it promises to become the parent handbook for raising that teen.

There is a limited number of spaces for enrollment so any parent, grandparent, or even aunt or uncle who would like to attend needs to call Dr. Barbara Corry at 563-5752 ext. 226.

Start your new year off on a positive step by attending this class which will teach you how to never argue with your teen again and other helpful things to help your teen grow into a positive adult.

Your child is worth this investment in time and you will enjoy the knowledge gained and the new relationships formed with other parents.
