Nannie Walline Thomas, 81, died Friday, April 29, 2011 at her home following an extended illness.

A native of Cannon County, most people knew her by Walline. She was a retired factory worker and a White Oak Basket Maker.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Oscar (Nig) Thomas of Woodbury; daughter and sons-in-law Linda (Russell) Helmers of Murfreesboro and Kay (Roger) Patterson and Judy (Terry) Spray both of Woodbury; 5 grandchildren, Christy (Troy) Oakley of Rockvale, Brigette (Robby) Allen, Tony (Erica) Spray, Brain Spray, Mackenzie Patterson; 4 great grandchildren, Coleby and Graci Oakley, Kail Spray and Lilly Allen.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Exonia Murphy Mathis; son, Loyd Thomas, Grandson, Donald Wayne Blanton; siblings, William, Austin, Sam, James, Floyd and Sterling Mathis, Goldie Thomas, Minnie Lou Burnett Watson and Nora Glenn.

Funeral services will be held in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home at 2 p.m. in Sunday, May 1, 2011 with Bro. Tony Burnett officiating. Burial will be in Prater Cemetery

Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2011.

Pallbearers, Roger Patterson, Terry Spray, Coleby Oakley, Brian Spray, Troy Oakley, Brian Mullican, Robby Allen.
