Funeral services for Mrs. Mazle Lee Phillips Reed Gannon, 76, will be held Wednesday, July 22 at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Rannie Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery with Woodbury Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Gannon died Sunday, July 19 at her home after an extended illness. A native of Cannon County, she was preceded in death by her parents, Evertt and Meda Haley Phillips; first husband, Eugene Reed; sons, Bruce and Dale Reed; sisters, Margaret Brdar and Alice Hamlin and brothers, Everett Jr., David and James (Bill) Phillips. A member of the Church of Christ, she was a housewife.

Survivors include her husband, Don Gannon of Woodbury; children, Joan and Larry Rich of Woodbury, Debbie and Ben Jones of Murfreesboro and David and Sonda Reed of Morrison; step-children, Randy and Julie Gannon and Ronald and Karen Gannon, all of Woodbury; Tara and Eddie Hinson of Chadburn, NC; brother, Earl Phillips of Woodbury; sister, Adean and Glen Coppinger of Woodbury; also surviving are seven grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 8 step grandchildren.

Active pallbearers were Anthony Reed, Brian Reed, Charlie Rich, Mike Reed, Drew Gannon and Jeff Reed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Avalon Hospice or to Alzheimer’s Association.
