Mrs. Marie Satterfield

Mrs. Marie Holt Satterfield, 95, died Friday, September 11, 2009 at Stones River Hospital following an extended illness. A native of Cannon County, she was the daughter of the late Horace and Liddie Duke Holt.

Mrs. Satterfield was the oldest member of the Ivy Bluff Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Satterfield; sisters: Dorcie Brown and Evelean Brown and brothers Hoyte and Homer Holt.

Services were held Sunday, September 13 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Freeman officiating. Burial was in Ivy Bluff Cemetery with Woodbury Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include her son, Herb Satterfield of Birmingham, AL; daughter, Joan Banks of Cannon County; granddaughter, Melanie (Mark) Parker of Cannon County; great grandson Justin (Kelly) Nichols of Cannon County; great granddaughter Lana (Joe) Green of Chapin, SC and sister in law, Mayme Holt of Cannon County.
