Mrs. Flora Markum

Mrs. Flora Blair Markum, 82, of Morrison died Thursday, August 20, 2009. A native of Cannon County, she was a member of the Lumley Stand Church of Christ and daughter of the late John Carlton Blair, Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Kirby Smith Blair. She was preceded in death by brothers: Henry Edison Blair, William Howard Blair, Walter W. Blair, John F. Blair, Charles Blair and Fred Blair; sisters: Christine Blair Smith, Vinnie Blair Forte, Alta Blair Cotton, Dora Blair Bonine, Ida Blair Ferrell, Martha Blair Foster,Jewell Blair and Mary Smith Newby.

Survivors include her husband, Ernest Hoover Markum of Morrison; two daughters, Sherryl E. (Brent) Roberts of Manchester and Freda P. (Leroy) Henson of Bradyville; two sons, Olen R. (Linda) Markum of Jacksonville, FL and Arlis E. (Karen) Markum of Manchester; three brothers, Tommie Mason (Virginia) Blair of Nashville, Luther B. (Naomi) Blair and Carlton M. Blair, of Woodbury; sister, Meda Blair (Nobel) Carr of Woodbury and six grandchildren.

Services were held Saturday, August 22 at the Chapel of Central Funeral Home with Brothers Ralph Hart, Jim Terry and Lynwood Mathis officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens with Central Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
