Head Start recruiting youngsters The Mid-Cumberland Head Start / Early Head Start Program is recruiting children for Fall classes. Children from birth to age four are age eligible; however, a child must not have turned five by August 15, 2016. Pregnant mothers are encouraged to apply. Children with special needs are also encouraged to apply. Any parent/ guardian who is interested in enrolling their special needs preschooler in the Head Start/ Early Head Start Program for the 2016-2017 school year is urged to contact: Lori Reed, Family Service Coordinator Special needs includes, but is not limited to, learning disabilities, speech and language, vision, or hearing impairment (including deafness and blindness), mental retardation, orthopedic problems, emotional disturbances, and other chronic health impairments such as severe asthma, leukemia, diabetes, epilepsy, and neurological disorders. ... |
