Jail Saves A Lot With Garden
The Cannon County Jail garden is planted and off to a great growing season. Inmates have planted cabbage, broccoli, tomatoes, green beans, butter beans, okra, cucumbers, squash, radishes, onions, peas, peppers, cantaloupe and watermelon. Already being harvested are cabbage, broccoli, squash, onions, radishes, and cucumbers. In addition to providing inmates with fresh vegetables, the garden helps to significantly reduce food expenses. The jail is in need of gallon size freezer bags and a large freezer. If anyone would like to donate these items, they would be most appreciated.See newest | See highest-rated
