Mildred S. Mills, 90, of Huntsville, AL passed away August 7 at East Alabama Medical Center in Auburn, AL.

Mildred was born in the Mooretown community, attending Mooretown Elementary School. The family moved to Huntsville in the early 1940s where she attended East Huntsville High School.

She was a graduate of North Alabama College of Commerce and worked over 31 years at the Department of Defense, U.S. Army Missile Command, Redstone Arsenal.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Ernest and Dora King Stacey; sisters, Ms Ann Stacey, Mrs. Eva Stacey Sisk; brother, Jack O. Stacey; ex-husband and friend Charles J. Mills, a WWII veteran.

Mildred was very active in her Baptist faith having taught Sunday school and served as president of the WMU. She attended Central Baptist Church, Huntsville, before moving to Opelika, AL to be near her daughter, Jane Graham.

Survivors include her sister, Mrs. Sonia Stacey Gojsz; daughters Joy Mills Wolff, Jane Mills Graham; grandchildren, Alex Wolfe, Candace Graham Prater and Kimberly Graham Boroughs; and seven great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held August 10 at Maple Hills Cemetery with Rev. Mark Seanor officiating.
