Meth offender found hiding in woods

A Woodbury woman pleaded guilty to a charge of simple possession of methamphetamine on Aug. 6 after she was arrested three days earlier by Woodbury patrolman Joshua Thomas.

According to an arrest warrant, Amanda Marie Dunn "had in her possession a small blue baggy of meth while hiding on the woods from law enforcement" on Bryant Lane on Aug. 3.

Dunn received a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and was ordered to serve 30 days in the Cannon County Jail following her guilty plea in Cannon County General Sessions Court. Upon release she will be on probation for 10 months, 29 days. She was also fined $750, ordered to pay the court costs and will be placed on the state's meth offender registry.
