A Woodbury man apparently has issues with the Murfreesboro Jehovah’s Witness congregation.

According to a report filed with the Murfreesboro Police Department on Dec. 17, a Woodbury man sent a letter to The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society asking for money.

The letter reportedly indicated that the man wanted $1 million in compensation from the group. The letter suggested that the man had a problem with the Murfreesboro congregation of the Jehovah's Witness.

The million dollar request was first sent to a Woodbury congregation and then forwarded to Murfreesboro.

The man allegedly wrote two letters to the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society that said he was very upset with the teachings of the church.

“This is not a joke,” the man wrote, “and there will be serious regrets” if his demands are not met.

The man also describes himself as “mentally disturbed” on his Facebook page, the police report said.

The letters were allegedly sent in January of this year.
