Meet The Candidates Event Planned For May 29
Leigh Ann's Horses for Attachment will be sponsoring a "Meet the Candidates" event at the Cannon County Fairgrounds on May 29.

The organization is offering candidates running for local offices in the Aug. 5 County General Elections booth space for $25.

"We are doing this as a fundraiser for our organization, but also as a way for the candidates to introduce themselves to the citizens, and for the citizens to meet the candidates who are running," Christie Fisk, co-director of Leigh Ann's, said.

LAHA is a therapeutic horseback riding program where minds are healed through the intervention of equine companions. This course has been developed over 12 years and has been used as part of the healing for over 1000 emotionally disturbed children.
Children suffering from any of the following problems have shown progress after completing the therapeutic riding.

LAHA also puts on annual camps for families with children suffering from Reactive Attachment disorder. LAHA has been host to families from all over the United States. LAHA is dedicated to the healing of children who have suffered abuse and neglect in their earlier lives, as well as those that were unable to form an appropriate attachment to their primary caregivers during the first critical years.
