Mayfield, Hall Charged With DUI

Two people face DUI charges following recent incidents:

• Greg Harold Mayfield, 107 Hickory Ridge Lane, Woodbury, was charged with Driving Under The Influence on Jan. 30 by Woodbury Assistant Police Kevin Mooneyham.

Mayfield was observed turning from S. College St. onto Bryant Lane going all the way into the parking lot of P.C. Disposal Company. He then almost run off into the ditch.

Mayfield was unable to perform field sobriety tests to the satisfaction of the assistant chief. He stated he had taken Xanax to help him sleep.

Bond was set at $2,000. Initial court date is March 13.

• Celia Karen Hall, 1602 E. Jefferson Pike, Murfreesboro, was charged with DUI on Feb. 4 by Cannon County Sheriff’s Deputy Matthew Parsley following a traffic stop on U.S. Hwy. 70S after she allegedly failed to move over for emergency vehicles.

 Upon further investigation an open container was discovered in the vehicle. Hall allegedly performed poorly on field sobriety tests.

She refused blood alcohol testing. Hall was also cited for Improper Passing and Open Container.

Bond was set at $1,800. Initial court date is March 6.
