Matt Teply seeks County Clerk post

Voters of Cannon County, August 7th is a perfect time for change. Matt Teply is running for County Clerk with a platform of positive reforms. It's time.

Matt Teply will provide you with added services. These include: online tag renewal, renewing your driver's license, passports, and hunting licenses. Matt Teply will never close for lunch. He will set his sandwich aside to serve you. Also, Matt Teply will not set limits on your method of payment.

It's time.

Matt Teply will make common sense reforms to the Clerk's office. The employees of the Clerk's office will have their pay set by the Commission, just like teachers and deputies. Matt Teply will not collect an additional $8,500 dollars from the General Fund for secretary's services. Matt Teply will take the recommendations of the state audit, and enact them. Additionally, Matt Teply will take every dollar collected, fee or otherwise, and hand it to the General fund.

Matt Teply is a 10 year resident of Cannon County. When Matt and his wife Melissa (chairwoman of Cannon County's Imagination Library) toured Middle Tennessee looking for a place to raise a family, they fell in love with Woodbury. They are still proud to call Cannon County home. Their three children (Saul 8, Olivia 5, and Luke 1) have the privilege of calling Woodbury their hometown. For the last 12 years, Matt Teply has taught Algebra and Mathematics for Rutherford County Schools.
