Graveside services for Mary Nelle Elkins Hillis, 84, of Woodbury, were held Monday, March 17, 2014, at Elkins Cemetery with Bro. Joey Ferrell and Bro. Doris Hughes officiating.

 She is survived by her husband, Louie Hillis of Woodbury; and nieces and nephews Kimber Lewis Barton V of Nashville, David Wilder Barton of Alexandria, VA, Mary Elizabeth Parsons of Clarksville and Amy Lynn Hailey of Mt. Juliet.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilder Carlos Burt and Vira Olive Jones Burt; her husbands, Paul Elkins and Max Ruhl and her sister, Rose Annette Burt Barton.

 A member of the Elkins Church of Christ, Mrs. Hillis was retired from Redstone Arsenal where she worked for more than 30 years.

 Pallbearers were Ronnie and Roy Hall, Jerry and Mike Elkins, Frank, Joe and David Sparkman. Honorary pallbearers were Cliff and Wilder Mankin, Tim, Nathan. Steve and Michael Hills.

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Elkins Church of Christ.
