Mary Lou Franklin, 87, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Woodbury Nursing Center following an extended illness.

She is survived by her children: Gail Fite of Smyrna, Emily Dawn (Wesley) Naron of Lebanon, and David D. (Cheryl) Franklin of Bradyville; 10 grandchildren:  Tara, Jeff, Kerwin, Laura, Kendall, Jason, Rachel, Kirby, Jared and Mark

Ms. Franklin was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph James Underwood and Eva Tucker Underwood; her Husband, George Garnet Franklin and sister, Waudene Reade.

A member of the First Baptist of Murfreesboro, she was a Secretary and homemaker. Ms. Franklin loved her family and lovingly kept her grandchildren.  She was an avid reader and loved animals especially dogs.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Fri.,05/30/14 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Frank Johnson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Roselawn Cemetery, Murfreesboro.  Visitation with the family will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, May 29, 2014. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Adams Memorial Library and the Kidney Foundation.
