Mary Alice Richards

Mrs. Mary Alice Richards, 83, of Woodbury died Dec. 2, 2010. She was born Dec. 15, 1926 in Huntingdon, TN. Her parents were the late Bill Churchwell & Flossie (Smith) Churchwell. She is preceded in death by her brother, Col. Alvin Churchwell and a sister, Billie Caudle Wertz.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Larry Richards of Woodbury; a son & daughter-in-law, Greg & Carol Richards of Germantown, TN; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen & Larry Tucker of Jefferson, GA and Julie & Russell Longcore of Marietta, GA; a brother-in-law, Dorris Richards of Portland, OR and three grandchildren, Jarrett Smith, Ben Richards and Joel Richards.

Mrs. Richards was a member of the Woodbury First Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.

Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 3, 2010 from 3-7 PM at Smith Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010 at 2 PM in Riverside Cemetery. Rev. Hunter Hay will officiate.
