Martha Dean Turner Melton

Martha Dean Turner Melton, 82, passed away Tuesday., Sept. 22, 2015 at her home in Woodbury.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Melton of Woodbury; Daughter-in-law: Barbara Vance Melton of Woodbury; Grandchildren: Jason (Kristy) Melton and Emily (Brent) Hargrove, both of Woodbury; Great Grandchildren: Ashlyn (Bryant) Hare, Addison & Allie Melton, Weston, Ethan, and Claire Hargrove; Great Great Grandchild: Wryn Hare; Brother-in-law: Wayne Crutcher of Woodbury; Niece & Nephew: Bill (Kay) Jennings of Woodbury and Marilyn (William) Patterson of Murfreesboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon & Gertrude Todd Turner; Husband, John B. "Mose" Melton, Jr; Son, John B. Melton III; and Sister, Deborah Turner Crutcher.

Ms. Melton was a member of the Woodbury Church of Christ and was retired from the City of Woodbury. She loved to play golf and shop, and loved to travel with her family.

Graveside services will be 3 pm Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015 in the Riverside Gardens Cemetery with Bro. Herb Alsup & Bro. Daniel Hayes officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 8 PM Wednesday, Sept. 23 & 1 PM until time of Graveside service Thursday. Pallbearers include Brent Hargrove, Weston Hargrove, Wayne Crutcher, Bill Jennings, William Patterson, & Jason Melton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Woodbury Church of Christ, Short Mountain Bible Camp or the Child Advocacy Center.
