Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota answers questions from the audience at Cannon County High School on July 25.
Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota looked as relaxed behind the microphone on a stage in front of a crowd at Cannon County High School firing back answers to questions as he does when he's takes the field on Sundays and fires passes to his wide receivers.
Tuesday afternoon (July 25) was the last stop of a four-school tour for Mariota and St. Thomas Health as they've partnered together to help promote St. Thomas Hospitals and Mariota's foundation Activ8 which helps underprivileged youth.

The visit also benefited the Cannon County High School Football program as Mariota announced he was donating $5,000 to the program.

Then he upped the ante and announced that the National Football League would also match his donation for a total of $10,000 to the program.

Mariota shared the message of setting goals, making right priorities and what kind of influences helped him to reach his full potential. He spoke to the senior Lion football players and told them to enjoy their senior year to its fullest. He encouraged them to write out their goals in life as they make the transition to the next stage of their life.

Mariota fielded questions from the audience and shared with them his feelings about football, going out on the field on Sundays, practice and preparation, his beginnings in the sport.

He could have even provided a little bulletin board material for an upcoming season opponent.

Cannon County High School Senior Lane Willis, who plays for the Lions basketball and baseball teams, got his chance to ask Marcus a question.

"On a scale of 1-10, you are in a game against the Houston Texans and you see All-Pro defensive tackle JJ Watt on the other side of the line, how scared are you?" Mariota without hesitation like making a quick decision in the middle of a game fired back, "zero."

Mariota is currently involved in pre-season practice with the Titans.
