Services for Marie Campbell Kirby, 88, of Henderson, KY were held Tuesday, June 16, at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home with the Rev. Nathan Whisnant officiating. Burial followed at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.

Mrs. Kirby died Friday, June 12, 2015 at Henderson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Marie was the only girl growing up with six brothers. One of her passions was sewing and creating clothing for her grandkids. Friends and family could frequently find Marie and her husband either in the garden or in the kitchen canning fresh vegetables from their garden or cooking big meals for family. Marie enjoyed traveling with fellow church members and it was always known that her door was open from friends to come visit. Marie's greatest passion was serving The Lord with all her heart and sharing God's love with those around her. Her faith in God shined in her daily life.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, George "G.T." and Maggie Campbell, her husband, James Fisher Kirby, an infant daughter; her daughter, Aldena Collins and six brothers.

Survivors include daughter, Betty Elliott and husband Kenneth; son-in-law Hubert Collins; six grandchildren, Lana Elliott Kuder, Sara Douhit and husband Eric, Rebecca Beard and husband Greg, Thomas Elliott and wife Shannon, Scott Collins and wife Veronica, Sharla Krohn and husband Ed; 12 great-grandchildren, Lacy Hagan and husband Eric, Lance Kuder, Madison and Lauren Douthit, Jacy Maria and Blake Elliott, Roman and Aleksey Beard, Marley and Mason Collins, Elene and Chirstian Recinos; great-great-grandchild, Tanner Lee Hagan, all of Henderson, KY.
