Margaret Lavena Stone Fletcher was born February 24, 1925 in Coffee County, TN.  She was the daughter of the late Everette Clarence Stone, Sr. and Clara Bell Kent Stone.  She went to sleep at United Regional Nursing Home on December 2, 2010, surrounded by her family and woke up to her eternal reward and those awaiting her.

Mrs. Fletcher graduated from Manchester High School on April 20, 1945.  She married the love of her life, Edwin Johnson Fletcher on September 7, 1946.  They lived in Manchester until 1972, when they moved to McMinnville.  She taught Sunday School to the small children at the Manchester First Free Will Baptist Church, and sang with her husband at numerous churches and funerals over the years.  Mrs. Fletcher was a member of the McMinnville First Baptist Church.

Known as “Nannie Fletcher” throughout Warren County, she had a very special love for children.  She did not do ordinary daycare.  She became Grandmother to these children and a kind of foster mom to their parents.
