Margaret Jean Helton Young, age 84, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Centennial Hospital. She was a native of Rutherford Co.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Millard Young of Woodbury; Children, Kim (Angie) Young of Woodbury & Renee (Monte) Patterson of Murfreesboro; Grandchildren, Blake Patterson, Amber, Adam, & Ashlyn Young; Brothers, Howard Helton of Nashville & Wayne (Margie) Helton of Woodbury; Sisters-in-law, Gladys Prater & Flossie (Buell) Warren of McMinnville. Also surviving are six nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank & Jewell Green Helton; Brother, Don Helton; and Grandson, Nick Patterson.

Mrs. Young was a member of Smith Grove Church of Christ and a member of the Cannon Co. Historical Society. She was a retired florist, co-owner of Flower & Gift Center of Woodbury, and spent 15 years at Morrison Florist. She enjoyed Genealogy, making quilts, and working in her flower and vegetable garden.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Saturday, June 20, 2015 in the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Bro. Herb Alsup & Bro. Barry Phelps officiating. Interment will follow at Cherry Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 8 PM Friday, June 19, 2015 at the funeral home.
