The Arts Center of Cannon County announces auditions for Arsenic & Old Lace

Tuesday, March 27th & Wednesday, March  28th at 6:30PM

Joseph Kesselring’s highly amusing and wicked tale tells the story of two presumably sweet old ladies, both considered pillars of Brooklyn society for their charitable works and generosity to their neighbors. Even they, however, have their peculiarities. The antics of their nephew Teddy, who thinks he’s Teddy Roosevelt, and the madcap confusion that ensues when their nephew Mortimer enters the scene, make for a delightful comedy-thriller.

Directed by Matt Smith, auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. There are roles available for 3 women (2 of which are 50+) and 11 men.

Rehearsals begin: mid April, 2012
Performance dates: June 1-16, 2012

The Arts Center is located on 1424 John Bragg Highway, just west of the town of Woodbury, approximately 20 minutes from Murfreesboro, Manchester, and McMinnville and one hour southeast of Nashville. Office hours are 10:00a.m. to 4:00p.m., Monday through Saturday. For more information call 615-563-(ARTS) 2787 or 1-800-235-9073. Check out our web site at www.artscenterofcc.com.
