Man pleads guilty to reckless driving

Judge Susan Melton presided over Cannon County General Sessions Court on Oct. 10 and Oct. 11. The results of some of the cases on the docket are as follows:

• Ryan Austin Mears pleaded guilty to three counts of reckless driving. In each case is was given a 6-month suspended sentence and was placed on probation for an equal amount of time. He was also ordered to pay the court costs in all three cases and he must also pay restitution to Olsen's Packaging and Parts in the amount of $500.

• Michael D. Wolf pleaded guilty to DUI first offense. He was given a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and was placed on probation for 11 months, 27 days. He was ordered to serve 48 hours in jail, fined $350, assessed court costs, and his license was revoked for one year.

• Rosanna N. Lancaster pleaded guilty to simple possession of a Schedule II drug. She was ordered to serve 30 days in jail and was given a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days. She was placed on probation for 10 months, 29 days, fined $750, and assessed court costs. She will also be added to the state's methamphetamine registry. Lancaster also pleaded guilty to simple possession of marijuana. She was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and an equal amount of time on probation. She was also fined $250 and ordered to pay court costs. Her sentences will run consecutively.

• Jeffrey Lynn Davis pleaded guilty to simple possession of marijuana. He was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and an equal amount of time on probation. He was fined $250, ordered to pay court costs and agreed to forfeit any property seized.

• Lauren Katherine Bain admitted to guilt and entered into an agreed order of retirement for 11 months, 29 days on a charge of allowing an unlicensed driver to drive. She was also ordered to pay court costs.

• Jesse Dale Burgess pleaded guilty to simple possession of a Schedule II drug. Sentencing was set for Dec. 19. He also agreed to forfeit property seized on two counts which were dismissed.

• Jeremy Alan Dehay pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct. He was fined $25 and ordered to pay court costs.

• Robert Jason Francis pleaded guilty to theft under $1,000. He was given a suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and an equal amount of time on probation. He was fined $50, assessed court costs, must pay restitution to the victim, and stay away from the premises where the offense occurred.

• Allie McCoy had charges of possession or casual exchange of methamphetamine and possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia dismissed. However, she was ordered to forfeit any property seized during the investigation.

• Patrick Justin McCullough pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of a property damage accident. He was given 30-day suspended sentence and placed on probation for an equal amount of time. McCullough also entered into an agreed order or retirement for 11 months, 29 days for vandalism under $500. He must pay restitution in the amount of $500 and the court costs in both cases.

• Austin C. Ramsey was granted judicial diversion after entering a guilty plea to simple possession of marijuana. He was placed on probation for 11 months, 29 days, fined $250 and order to pay court costs.

• Donnie Alan Thomas Jr. was in court facing charges of violation of probation, violation of protective order and driving while license revoked. He failed a drug screen and was remanded to the custody of the Cannon County Jail.

• Jesse Ortega pleaded guilty to assault (animal bite). He was sentence to serve 3 days in jail, given a partially suspended sentence of 11 months, 29 days and was placed on probation for 11 months, 26 days. He must also pay court costs, have no contact with the victim, and pay restitution for medical bills caused by the animal.

• James Henley admitted to guilty and agreed to revocation for violation of probation. He was ordered to serve 60 days in jail and his probation was extended for 8 months, 26 days.

• Shane Byford had a charge of aggravated domestic assault dismissed. The state has not been able to locate the alleged victim.

• Danna Beth Roberts pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of a property damage accident. She was fined $25 and ordered to pay court costs.
