Man Faces Four Charges Of Aggravated Assault



A Woodbury man is scheduled to appear in Cannon County General Sessions Court on Sept. 7 to face charges of aggravated assault with a vehicle.

Dallas Eugene Reed, 327 Hayes St., Woodbury, was arrested following an incident on July 21. He is free on $44,000 bond.

Reed was charged with four counts of aggravated assault in affidavits of complaints sworn out by Angela Goforth.

According to the complaints, "Dallas Eugene Reed did knowingly and intentionally try running Angela Goforth off the roadway by means of his vehicle. Mr. Reed did swerve and slam on his brakes during this attempt causing Goforth to enter into oncoming traffic. Goforth had three passengers in this vehicle, Tiffany Mullins and two juvenile toddlers (names withheld).

The alleged incident occurred just past Cannon Market on Jim Cummings Highway near the top of the hill.

Reed was arrested at his home by Cannon County Sheriff's deputies Tommy Barker and Patrick Fann and Woodbury Patrolman John Fesmire.
