Mom charged with assaulting daughter's boyfriend
Candy Ayala, Woodbury, was charged with simple assault and contributing to the delinquency of a minor on Sept. 28 by the Cannon County Sheriff's Department. The charges followed an incident at her home involving her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend. In a written statement the daughter, Dasia Coon, stated, "While driving in my vehicle my mom started drinking and I complained about my car being low on gas, so my mom started arguing with by boyfriend Nathan to pay for gas and kept complaining about him with many different subjects. After me and my boyfriend dropped her off at a friend's house like she said she wanted to be she got a ride back to the house. While me and Nathan stayed in my room with the door locked my mom started banging on my door to kick Nathan out for no reason. Nathan told me to open the door, so I did. Then that's when she started kicking out Nathan and pushing him then hit him with her phone. So I pushed her then she lost balance and tripped over my chair and hit her eyebrow on the door. Then she kicked me out, so when we were getting our stuff and about to leave she tried blocking the house door not letting us leave and that's when she threw the candles at Nathan calling him names. She also gave me a beer." Officers noted candle wax all over the "walls, floor and ceiling" at the residence.
