Mamie Ruth Hollis Sweeney

Mamie Ruth Hollis Sweeney, 76, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2010, at Woodbury Health Care Center following an extended illness.

A native of Cannon County, she worked as the manager of Morrison's Cafeteria in Nashville and attended the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis Martin and Mamie Elizabeth Hollis, and her husband, Moses Emanual Sweeney, and two sisters, Rachel Louise Kiddy and Ruby Irene Hollis.

She is survived by a sister, Flora Marie Ferrell of Woodbury, a brother, William Kenneth Hollis of Woodbury, three neices, three nephews, four great nieces and four great nephews.

Funeral services were held Oct. 11 in the chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home. Burial was in Thyatira Cemetery.
