Lynne Foster Announces As Candidate For Circuit Court Clerk
Circuit Court Clerk Lynne Davenport Foster has authorized the Cannon Courier to announce that she is a candidate for election to that office during the August 5, 2010 County General Election.

Foster was unanimously appointed by the Cannon County Board of Commissioners in January 2010 to fill the unexpired term of retiring Circuit Court Clerk Robert H. Davenport.

Prior to her appointment, Lynne served as chief deputy clerk for 31 years.

In making her announcement, Foster said, “I would like to take this opportunity to ask for your vote and support in the August 5th General Election. If elected, I plan to continue this office’s history of efficiency and excellent public service.” Foster went on the say, “My staff and I strive to maintain the highest level of professionalism and legal knowledge so we can serve the people of Cannon County in the best way possible and will continue to do so if elected.”

Lynne resides with her husband, Medford Foster, on Doolittle Road and has two children Katina (Kevin) George and Karla (Mike) Kemp. She also has five grand-children Nathan, Cole, and Cassie George and Kallie and Foster Kemp. She is the daughter of the late Ben and Lola Davenport and is a member of the Baptist Church.
