PrintMrs. Luree (McBroom) Tenpenny , 88, of Woodbury went home to be with the Lord March 18, 2012.
She was born Dec. 8, 1923 in Woodbury,TN. Her parents were the late Clarence McBroom and Kathleen (Odom) McBroom and was also preceded in death by a brother, Bratten McBroom and sister, Pauline Elliot.
She lived in Nashvillemany years until her retirement and then moved to her home in Readyville,TN.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to sons, Fred Tenpenny and Pat Tenpenny, daughter, Nancy Tenpenny Hill. Grandmother to Renee Hill Powell, Jenny Hill Baldwin and Greg Hill. Great grandmother to Haley and Josh Powell, Jordan and Austyn Baldwin. Sister to Homer McBroom and Mildred Papizan.
Luree devoted her life to her family and we will miss her every day until we see her again.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church, Woodbury, TN., the Larry Hill Memorial at Charlotte Road Baptist Church, Nashville, TN, Alive Hospice or Gideons International.
We thank her family friends and everyone who loved her for the prayers, visits and food. She loved each of you. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a long time volunteer with the Stones River Hospital Auxillary.
Celebration of her life will be at First Baptist Church in Woodbury, Mar. 31, 2012 visitation from 2-3 PM and memorial service at 3 PM.
