Lori Douglas, 19, of Christiana, passed Friday, September 11, 2009 at Vanderbilt Medical Center. She was a native of Murfreesboro and a 2009 graduate of Riverdale High School She was Commander of the JROTC Female Raider Team and a member of the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Explorers Program. Lori attended Rockvale Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Kingdom Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Lori was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard J. and Dot Douglas. She is survived by her father, Richard “Ricky” Douglas, Jr. of Midland Community; mother, Lynn Smith of Chirstiana; sister, Jessica Lachance of Woodbury; brothers, Richard “Ritchy” (Jennifer) Douglas of Soddy Daisy and Leland Douglas of Christiana; grandparents, Clarence and Flora Smith of Christiana; nieces, Abby and Ashtyn; aunts and uncles, John and Teresa Schmidt of Christiana, Frank and Sandra Heaton of Midland community, Chase and Nona Douglas of Murfreesboro; several cousins.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 15 at Murfreesboro Funeral Home with Rev. Joyce Merritt and Rev. Eddie Smith officiating. Burial was in Whitworth Cemetery.
