Local Constable Participates In Statewide Meeting

Constable/Pilot Mike (Ozzy) Osborn of Tipton County and Constable Jim Gibbs of Cannon County at Gatlinburg - Pigeon Forge Airport.
Cannon County Constable Jim Gibbs joined other constables from across Tennessee to participate in continuing education and to organize and plan for the future of the office of constable across the state.

Jim met with constables Mike Osborn and Nick McDivitt of Tipton County at the Murfreesboro Airport and the threesome then completed the journey from Tipton County to Pigeon Forge where the Tennessee Constable Association was meeting for their annual convention.

Constable Osborn is a retired U.S. Navy fighter pilot and a veteran of the Iraq conflict. Ozzy, as Constable Osborn is known is a private pilot and owns the plane in which they where flying.

In addition to participating in the election of statewide officers and enjoying a little networking, the constables participated in continuing education programs offered by the Unicoi County Sheriff’s Department taught by Kenneth Potter who is a veteran police officer, former chief of police in Bluff City, and currently a deputy for Sheriff Kent Harris of Unicoi.
