Local Artist To Hold Watercolor Workshop

Moxie Art Supply & Studio School in downtown Murfreesboro presents Exploring Watercolors workshop with artist Joyce Kimbel.

This day long class is designed for beginning and intermediate level students and covers the basic aspects of using watercolor including paint handling, techniques, color, and composition. Starter paint, paper and palette will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring their own supplies as well.

The beauty and versatility of watercolor as an expressive medium has captured the attention of artist Joyce Kimbel. Since childhood, she has created artwork in oil, charcoal, pastel and colored pencil. For the past decade, Joyce has developed her skills with watercolor into a unique, distinctive personal style. Her subject matter includes florals, people and architecture.

A former elementary school teacher, Joyce enjoys the opportunity to share her artistic skills and love of art. Joyce Kimbel is an artist living and working in Cannon County.

Exploring Watercolors is on Friday November 19, 2010. The workshop begins at 10:00 a.m. and concludes at 3:00 p.m. The workshop fee is $45.00. Enrollment is limited and advanced registration is required.
